15 Best Outdoor WiFi Surveillance Cameras with Night Visions
for June 2023

While many of us rely on our connected security cameras to keep an eye on our perimeter, it can be tough to keep an eye on your home when you're away. We rely on cameras to keep an eye on our front door, driveway, backyard, pool, garage, and more.

While security cameras used to be wired, most these days are wireless and powered by a 24-hour power source. However, some security cameras still require a wired power source. Fortunately, most security cameras come equipped with wireless capabilities. And, most cameras have an Ethernet port to connect to your router.

In addition to outdoor security cameras, you'll also want a wireless indoor security camera. Our testing Lab has evaluated hundreds of security cameras over the years, testing factors such as image quality, infrared night vision, waterproof rating, and weather-resilient design. We've also evaluated the cameras using our comprehensive rating system, which is derived from the latest industry and consumer testing. These outdoor security cameras and indoor security cameras are the best of the best, according to our testing and ratings.

ZEEPORTE SECURITY Security Camera Outdoor

by ZEEPORTE SECURITY

The 2-Pack Security Camera is the best security camera for homes that we tested. The wireless security camera is easy to install, and when paired with the free mobile app, it's easy to view your security footage anywhere, at any time.

The Adorcam Wireless Surveillance Camera System delivers on its promise of wireless ease and convenience. The whole system is very easy to install. The cameras are very small, and their ability to be mounted on either side of a door means there are no wires running across doors, making the whole setup feel much more secure than using wired network cameras. The cameras are very minimalist and unobtrusive, with no logos or "home" screen icons on the panel. (We were surprised at how clear our camera view was of our neighbor's house.) The cameras come with a small, rechargeable battery, which is recharged by the camera itself. These cameras also completely work with our Adorcam app, which is well-designed and easy to use. The cameras are connected wirelessly, so we can control them from anywhere. The smartphone app adds even more value, since we can stream live video to the cloud, which allows us to see them on our smartphones and iPads, as well as on our home computers. You can add people or devices to the watch list, and if someone enters the house, you'll get a notification on your phone.

Security Camera Outdoor, Wireless Rechargeable Battery Powered 1080P WiFi Home Surveillance Camera with Waterproof, Night Vision, Motion Detection, 2-Way Audio and SD Storage

AlkiVision Security Camera Outdoor

by AlkiVision

Super easy to set up and use, this wireless security camera with night vision came in clearest at night and (manually) in most other tests. The two-way audio didn't always work, and there were some problems with notifications.

The Security Camera Outdoor Wireless Rechargeable Battery Powered 1080P WiFi Home Surveillance Camera with Waterproof, Night Vision, Motion Detection, 2-Way Audio and SD Storage is perfect for the DIY user who wants to monitor their home or business without spending a ton of money. The 1080P video quality is clear and fairly sharp, although you may notice some slight pixelation on fast-moving objects or in darker areas. The night vision capability is decent, though night vision isn't as good as what you'll get from a dedicated surveillance camera. The 130-degree angle is wide enough that it covers most of the room without issue. The built-in rechargeable battery is impressively long, and the camera only uses about 1% of its battery power on a fully charged battery after a few months of use. However, for safety reasons, do not leave the security camera charging unattended. The security camera outdoor is easy to set up and configure, and the mobile app works well both on Android and iOS devices. Motion notifications are easy to set up, but the screen on the app is tiny, so you can't easily see how much motion the camera has been tracking. Although the security camera outdoor provides decent video quality, it doesn't allow you to pan or tilt the camera, so you need to pay extra for a commercial monitoring camera if you want more flexibility.

ZUMIMALL Security Camera Outdoor Wireless WiFi

by ZUMIMALL

This Wi-Fi security camera has a number of features that set it apart from other security cameras. It offers night vision and motion alerts, as well as 2-way audio.

The ZUMIMALL Pan Tilt Camera with 15000mAh Battery Wireless Surveillance System is the best deal we tested. It's part of a growing line of ZUMIMALL home security products that also include a doorbell camera, a motion sensor, and a motion detector. All of the products have the benefit of being able to be scheduled to send you a notification when motion is detected. You can see who or what is in the home, record and record video, and even be alerted if a delivery person or unexpected visitor has been set loose in your home when you're not there. The outdoor camera has 4 infrared night vision LEDs and a 130-degree field of view, which both make it good for keeping an eye on outdoor areas. The mobile app is easy to use and pretty intuitive. It has motion detection and night vision scheduling, as well as two-way audio chat, and the video is very clear. We've always liked the way that the ZUMIMALL cameras connect to your home network, which requires that you have an 802.11 n or AC router set up with WPA2 encryption. The outdoor wireless camera also connects to your network via Bluetooth. If this option isn't working, be prepared to go to the hassle of setting up your network again as a wired connection. The battery only lasts about 3 months, but the battery life can be stretched to 6 months with a firmware update. No SD card slot is provided, but the camera does support cloud storage with a paid subscription.

Luowice Wireless Home Security Camera Outdoor WiFi with Light Night Vision Rechargeable Battery AI Motion Detection

by Luowice

This home security system is sleek, but requires an outside power source for battery operation. There's no waterproof camera option.

The YI Home is a no-frills, security camera that's easy to use, reliable, and fairly inexpensive. It's also useful for home security, but it isn't exactly a cutting-edge camera. The two-way audio feature is useful, and it's easy to set up and use, even if you're not that technically inclined. The camera's night vision feature works well, and it's designed to work in a variety of lighting conditions, including the brightest outdoor sunlight. The IR LEDs on the camera are slightly yellow, so the camera isn't as crisp or colorful as some others we tested (such as the Foscam FI8021), but it's plenty bright enough for most daytime uses. The video quality isn't the best (it's similar to our former pick and below that of most competitors), but for outdoor viewing, the quality is more than sufficient for family members or casual viewers. There are smaller, cheaper cameras out there, but, for the most part, if you need a dedicated security camera, you'll need to spend at least $100, which is much more than the YI Home. The standout feature: YI Home has cloud storage for 7 days for free (with more storage for subscription fees).

Use an explicit type for Client-Server that defines the HTTP method. public enum HTTPMethod { GET, POST, PUT, DELETE, CONNECT }
This part is not needed as scalaz catches the cases.

The Adorcam Wireless Security Camera is one of the least expensive models we tested. Its 1080P resolution is excellent, and its motion-detection alarm is very sensitive. When you're out getting gas or running to the store, it will automatically email you notifications when movement is detected. The image quality is better at night than many other cameras we tested, which is of special importance if you choose a camera for use outdoors, although the Adorcam's night vision isn't as good as that of the more expensive models. Its sound quality isn't as crisp as that of more expensive cameras, either, but we were able to understand people talking from up to 60 feet away in a small room, and the camera does have a two-way audio feature. Unlike the more expensive cameras we tested, the Adorcam's app uses the iOS internet browser, which means that sometimes notifications can take a moment to arrive. However, the image quality and battery are both good, and it's well worth considering if you want a camera for outdoor use.

Hawkray Cam HAWKRAY Wireless Outdoor Security Camera with Spotlight

by Hawkray Cam

The 1080P HD wireless camera is easy to set up and works well with a smartphone. The night vision lets you see up to 65 feet after dark so you can keep an eye on everything at night.

The Hawkray Wireless Outdoor Security Camera is the best outdoor security camera in our tests, offering excellent video quality, the best night vision, and a nice balance of price and performance. It's easy to set up, has lots of features, and has an appealing design. We used the Hawkray Wireless Outdoor Security Camera for over 2 months, and it was simple to set up the camera, connect it to our wireless network, and connect it to the app. The 1080P video quality is very good, and the night-vision images are crystal clear. The camera is IP65 weather-resistant, so it's great for outdoor use, and the camera is small enough (about 3 1/2 inches tall) to fit almost anywhere. The Hawkray Wireless Outdoor Security Camera has nice two-way audio, and a spotlight that's very good for keeping an eye on things at night. The two-way audio is great for creating a home security system, or for letting guests or family members know when you're outside. This app is better than those that come with most (or all) of the cameras we tested. It's simple, has lots of useful features, and is easy to use.

ZOSI Spotlight Security Camera Indoor Outdoor

by ZOSI

The ZOSI Spotlight security camera provides solid night vision, motion detection, and human detection, plus a smartphone app for monitoring. However, it lacks two-way audio and, unlike other models, it doesn't send snapshots to your phone.

The ZOSI Spotlight Security Camera is an impressive, well-designed, and easy-to-use indoor and outdoor security camera. It comes with an impressive lineup of features, including 24/7 motion detection and night vision, two-way audio, and a rechargeable battery. Its video quality was excellent in our testing, with clear, well-balanced color reproduction and decent detail. The ZOSI Spotlight Security Camera employs H.265+ compression technology, which reduces data usage by up to 50%. And the camera comes with 32GB (or 128G compatible) of internal storage for footage. The camera also has a microSD card slot for local storage, so it doesn't require internet to record. The Spotlight Security Camera's weatherproof design makes it easy to mount indoors or outdoors and it offers local recording. Of the other cameras we tested, the Spotlight Security Camera had a faster, more responsive interface, easier-to-read playback controls, and a cleaner, more cohesive look. The only caveat: The Spotlight Security Camera's voice control didn't work flawlessly during our testing. We also wish the motion-detection sensitivity could be adjusted and that the camera's smartphone app was easier to use.

ieGeek Wireless Outdoor Security Camera

by ieGeek

This wireless security camera is a steal at $20. It's easy to set up, has night vision, and can zoom in on a person or object up to 90 feet away.

The ieGeek wireless outdoor camera is easy to set up and use, and it delivered clear video images in Manual mode, although the color was a little muddy a little sharper images (and the video quality was more consistent in Automatic mode). It provides two-way audio through the app, and we found it worked well, although you could use a USB adapter to connect it to an external speaker for better audio quality. Of course, those features are useless if you're not home when there's a break-in, but that's always been an issue with security cameras. It may record over cellular networks if the Wi-Fi signal is too weak, and there's a SIM card reader for adding an optional SIM card for remote viewing and recording. The only real drawback: you can only use the ieGeek camera outdoors, and there's no two-way audio or night vision indoors.

by Soliom

The surveillance camera combines IP66 waterproof, IK03 water-resistant, magnetically shielded, and supports WPA, WPA2 security protocols that enables users to ensure high security. It includes a solar panel that charges the batteries. The 1080p HD and night vision make monitoring the yard at night easy.

The Soliom S600 is the best wireless security camera you can get if your budget is limited. This weatherproof, do-it-yourself security solution offers solid video resolution, a sun- and battery-optional design, and built-in two-way communication that lets you talk to visitors directly. The image sensor is smaller and less sensitive than more expensive models, so the video quality isn't as impressive as what you'd get from a high-end security camera, and low-light performance isn't great. But if you're just looking for a solid outdoor camera system that won't break the bank, the S600 is your best bet.

ZUMIMALL Wireless Security Camera Outdoor

by ZUMIMALL

This surveillance camera has good quality HD video and high quality mic. It is easy to set up. When there is a motion, it will send alert to my phone. I am very satisfied.

The zumimall solar security camera is small, sleek, and surprisingly inconspicuous. Its solar panel charges the camera's battery, and the camera's battery charges its specially-designed wireless transmitter, which sends video signals to the corresponding wireless monitor via tiny radio signals (and a 2.4GHz WiFi connection, if your router supports it). The camera's battery reportedly lasts for up to 8 hours on a charge, and it uses infrared LEDs for night vision, so it's suitable for security both during the day and during the night. The camera's motion detection and alert system detected our every move as we moved around the room (even the barely noticeable movement of air, as we tried to hide), and it sent us instant push notifications to our phone whenever it detected movement. The camera also records video directly to a micro SD card, and it's motion activated, so it takes a picture when it senses movement. The monitor's intuitive UI is easy to use and has a speakers for two-way communication. The camera is also IP65 rated, so it's suitable for outdoor use. On top of all that, the included premium accessories, including a wireless transmitter, microSD card, and USB charger, are all high quality, and the monitor's viewing angle is wide enough that several people can watch the action at once without issue. As for drawbacks, the camera's USB and SD card slots aren't formatted for the micro SD card, and the camera is also only supported for Android version 4.4 or higher, so it won't work with older phones.

This smart WiFi security camera is perfect for monitoring your home. It has motion detection, night vision, and two-way audio.

Maysly WiFi Cameras for Home Security is a great product, easy to install, with good quality color video, night vision, motion detection. The microphone and speaker will help hear and speak with your near and dear ones when you are away. Some reviews say that this camera's night surveillance is very poor quality, but this camera is much better than advertised. The night vision is 65 ft, not 30 ft. And, it also carries the motion detection feature. No need to install another camera for security when you are not home. Plug in the camera, wait a second, the camera starts turning around and you will hear double beeps. If no, reset it for a try, tap yi iot app, add the camera, fill in the wifi account and password, face the QR code in your phone app to the camera, wait for the connection. REOLINK Solar WiFi Camera Security Outdoor

by Reolink Digital

This security camera is one of the most expensive we tested. But the 2.4 GHz WiFi connection makes it easy to mount practically anywhere.

The Argus Eco is the best outdoor security camera we tested, with an excellent battery and connectivity, and it has everything you need to keep watch over your home, office, or empty parking lot. Although it can't record audio, it can send real-time notifications when motion is detected and can send alerts via a third-party cloud service or via Reolink's free app. It has a built-in speaker and microphone, so you can speak to visitors through the unit or listen in on conversations from another room. The camera also includes two-way talk, so you can communicate with whoever is on your property. That's particularly important, because the camera doesn't send any motion or sound alerts. Another bonus: You can stick with Reolink's free cloud service or use it for up to 30 days, after which you can pay a monthly fee for unlimited cloud storage. If you don't mind a little extra expense, Reolink's cloud service does a better job of sorting through and tagging snapshots than some competitors do, so it's easier to quickly identify suspicious footage.

Aoluvy Wireless Solar Security Camera Outdoor 1080P WiFi Rechargable Battery Surveillance IP67 Home Cameras System

by Aoluvy

This versatile security camera has a range of features you want — night vision, motion detection, a two-way audio, and cloud storage — and it includes a one-year warranty.

The Aoluvy Outdoor Security Camera provides high-quality 1080p video images. It has night vision capability and motion detection, and thanks to two way audio you can talk to anyone on your property. However, it's only IP67-rated, which means it will work fine in rain, but not snow or fog. It also has no battery backup, meaning if the grid goes down, so does the video. It also offers no motion detection alerts, so you'll need to turn on the camera after you've set up the motion detection feature if you want the camera to record when it detects movement. The night vision is not as bright as most cameras we tested, but the camera can capture motion at night in even less light than that. The Aoluvy also lacks a zoom capability, so there isn't a lot of flexibility in where you put it. However, the do offer "security zone" features that let you configure the camera to only record in certain locations. It's easy to install, and comes with basic mounting materials, and it doesn't have a long cable, so you don't have to worry about getting extension cords, either. It's also compatible with more cameras than many of the other cameras we tested, and you can view the cameras from your computer, tablet, or smart phone. The Aoluvy Outdoor Camera is a good option, but don't be fooled by the positive reviews; it's a smart camera, so it has lots of bells and whistles, but they're not entirely necessary, and it's overpriced.

If you're looking to invest in an outdoor security camera, there are a few things that you should consider. First, determine what type of outdoor surveillance camera you want. There are many different styles of outdoor security cameras available, including dome cameras, bullet cameras, and box cameras. Each style offers different features, so it's important to do your research before making a purchase. Next, consider the cost of the outdoor surveillance camera. Cameras are generally categorized into three price ranges: cheap, medium, and expensive. Cheaper cameras offer fewer features, but they still work well for basic surveillance. Expensive outdoor security cameras offer advanced features and top-notch performance, but they tend to be much more expensive than other models. Why an outdoor WiFi surveillance camera is best?

A WiFi surveillance camera is a device that records video from the outdoors and sends it to a WiFi enabled device. The devices are placed wherever you'd like, so you can place them close to windows and doors to monitor activity in those areas or install them in other areas of your home to monitor activity in more remote parts of the house. Although these cameras have revolutionized the way homeowners and business owners keep an eye on their homes and properties, there are some disadvantages to these devices as well. Most outdoor WiFi surveillance cameras use infrared technology, which can send infrared light to cameras so that they can see in the dark. However, infrared light can cause night vision problems for humans. If you are sensitive to infrared light, you may notice that outdoor security cameras cause your eyes to water.

Conclusion

An outdoor WiFi security camera is a must have camera because it provides high quality HD video and night vision. An outdoor WiFi security camera is a must have camera because it can be installed anywhere you want. An outdoor WiFi security camera is a must have camera.
